We recently hosted the Arduino-based CPR Assistance Device 2024 competition, where participants were challenged to design a tool to assist healthcare providers in performing CPR on newborns. The device had to measure compression depth and rhythm while offering real-time feedback to ensure the correct technique. Prior to the competition, a beginner-friendly workshop introduced participants to the basics of Arduino. Be sure to join us for more exciting opportunities in the future!
We hosted our first mental health event of the semester! Thank you to all who came out to make bracelets with us. We had so much fun spending time with everyone and seeing all the creative and amazing bracelets you all made! Stay tuned for more events!
We had the privilege of touring the UHN KITE Research Lab with Dr. Don Phillip, Collin, and Jenan Bouakkar! We had lots of fun visiting the HomeLab, CareLab, DriverLab, StairLab and more. The KITE Research Institute is one of the only organizations that has high quality research facilities such as the DriverLab, CareLab etc which focus on "improving the lives of people living with the effects of disability, illness, and aging (kite-uhn)."
